Explore the science behind animal viruses and how they are transmittedAnimal viruses cause huge economic losses to farmers and severe emotional distress to animal owners.They may even be transmitted to humans, known as zoonosis, posing important questions about their spread and control.In this course, you will learn about animal viruses, such as parvovirus, that affect pets, birds, sheep, cattle, swine and horses, and produce important diseases, including zoonotic diseases.The course has been developed by a team at the Complutense University of Madrid, who are all experienced in teaching virology and infectious diseases at veterinary schools at Madrid and Alfort.This course is designed for anyone with a keen interest in the science behind animal viruses and animal diseases. It will be particularly useful to veterinary and science students wishing to complement their studies and anyone working in animal health and welfare.A basic knowledge of biology is desirable, although not required. Though some aspects may be basic for specialists, such as veterinarians, the course will certainly complement their previous knowledge.No specific hardware or other resources is required. Descripción del curso A lo largo de la Historia se han empleado diferentes tipos gráficos para la redacción de los documentos; siendo necesario su conocimiento para lograr descifrar el mensaje que contienen (Paleografía). Esta realidad se hará manifiesta durante la Edad Moderna a lo largo y ancho de la Península Ibérica, exportándose a los territorios del continente americano. De igual manera, tendrá que asignarse la "etiqueta" adecuada a cada una de las piezas documentales que se originaron fruto de la actividad diaria de los protagonistas del referido periodo (Diplomática). Además, se encontrarán ejemplos anteriores en el tiempo, donde la forma de datar los testimonios escritos se aleja de los usos presentes (Cronología). Por último, comprobará que los documentos fueron autenticados con métodos y técnicas diferentes a los empleados en la actualidad (Sigilografía). Los vídeos han sido grabados en castellanoo en portugués, con subtítulos en los respectivos idiomas, para el correcto seguimiento de los mismos.

Descripción de curso La mayoría de los alimentos son sistemas dispersos o coloidales, es decir, sistemas donde partículas discretas se encuentran dispersas en una fase continua. En este curso se abordarán algunos de los principales sistemas coloidales en alimentos como son espumas, geles y emulsiones.
